| Photography is
a massive part of the Tubby
Buddha's life. He especially enjoys experimental photography, abstract
photography and city street photography.
Tubby Buddha's experimental photographic art web site
is called Artistnos.co.uk. From
this website you can view some of Tubby's favourite pictures,
learn about his processes and even sign up for one of his Online Abstract Photography
Courses.
From this website you can buy one of the
'Single Print Runs' and bag
yourself a unique work of art from
this unique photographer.
Tubby Buddha (AKA Colin Hall) is an
accomplished abstract photographer,
a great night photographer and his
stark city streets are magical. You
can view these and quiz the artist at the following

In his spare time Tubby Buddha tinkers
with his electronic music
equipment, creating weird abstract
music, Buddhist meditation
tracks and even the odd quaint song that even your gramma
would enjoy.
Music is very important to the development
of personal creativity and life satisfaction and therefore plays
a crucial role in the Tubby Buddha Self Help Guide
and also his Personal Philosophy.
To find out
more about Tubby's musical meanderings simply follow the
links below for some tracks and explanations.

The world of Tubby Buddha is full of philosophy. He believes that if you
take the best bits of all the worlds religions and add some
creativity and a lot of love ... hey presto, you get the best
philosophy of life available to mankind.
I suppose that first and foremost I do not believe in good and evil in
the classic sense. I understand and am realistic that
throughout my years on this planet I will have occasion to
feel happy at some things and sad at others, but just because I dislike something does not
doom it to Hell. As soon as we start to allow personal
bias and superstition to cloud our view of life we risk having
negative effects on others and then we become responsible for
a never ending torrent of negativity resulting from our
initial bad thoughts. The thing to remember is that the world
will throw things at you, some will make you laugh, some will
make you cry ... but if you let them,
they all will help make you a stronger, more creative and
positively charged individual.

| The second
point that I should make clear when discussing my
philosophy is that although I have some wishes and desires, as
any other man would have, I understand situations may arise to
skew the direction that I am traveling en-route to my
goals.
I believe that it
is always a mistake to carefully plan anything. By
planning meticulously you are limiting your journey and a
journey can be fun, instructive and potentially enlightening
... so instead of only enjoying the initial idea and the
resulting conclusion, you should enjoy
and treasure each step of the road through where ever you
happen to pass. Once you accept this philosophy you will come
to love your life day by day, second by
second. Your body is chock-a-block full of chemical and
biological reactions, if you have the patience and the
required calmness you can come to experience them
all.
"Even the shortest life is full of wonder
and potential"

| My third guiding point would be to
establish that there is very little hope to be gained in
believing that God and Man have some special
relationship.
As the concept of God is based on faith
alone I cannot say whether he exists or not. Neither can I say
whether there is a heaven when we die, as these things are not meant to be proven by
earthly beings.
Therefore, I only say that we should live our lives in such a way that
introduces as little negative thought as possible to life. We
should respect others with the
level of respect that we would feel honoured to receive from
them. We should accept our position in this Earth's social
fabric but not abuse it. And
finally we should welcome all
experiences and expect our journey to be interesting, but
not necessarily easy.
"Be positive about everything and never be
responsible for leaking a negative thought ... who knows where
it will end".

| I cannot appreciate
the position that you find yourself right now. You may be
lost, without a direction in life or you may even feel that
you have completely stalled. I have been in similar positions
in my life before, but they won't be the same and it would be
ignorant of me to think that my personal life tools would be exactly
what you need. So forgive me for speaking in generalities. I
believe there are some pointers that I have used
successfully in my life to get my journey underway again and I'll try to
make them in the next few sentences:
1. When your life has stalled, do
something totally selfless, charitable and above all do it
with complete anonymity.
2. When you meet others listen to their
stories with complete dismissal of your own problems.
Sometimes the strongest friends are built from a moment of
supported weakness.
3. If you find yourself unable to do
anything, do nothing and welcome it

| 4. If you find that your goals and desires
are destroying your appreciation of life ... take a good long
look at your desires and goals, they might be holding you
back.
5. Confession is not just for Catholics.
Confessing our negativity to the people we are hurting can be
a very liberating experience. Jealousy is a prime case. In the
early stages jealousy can be seen as a motivating force, but
it will soon become an obsession and it will lead to
negativity leaking from your spirit. Walk up to the person
that you envy and tell them that what they have is a special
gift and that you hope to be able to nurture your own talent
in similar ways. At this point you have switched from being a
jealous and bitter person into an appreciative and positive
person.
6. Never blame others for your own
personal predicament. Blame is a negative thought created from
negativity and therefore has concussive effects. If you can
absorb negative forces, or better still find a positive from
them, you will be preventing the negativity from getting any

| 7. Never worry about what might happen. We
are small creatures and any predictive powers that we may have
are completely swamped by the effects of things that we cannot
see. It cannot be in your interest to create more negative
thoughts in anticipation of an occurrence. Instead try to
think like a chess player and take your time to move your
pieces to a place of advantage. By using your time wisely you
will lift the weight of hopelessness from your
shoulders.
8. A final point to those who feel they
have everything and they would still like to have more. There
is one simple way to open this door ... share what you have
